“The Most Perfect Day I’ve Ever Seen” (at least one of them)

On Saturday I drove to the Liberty State Park in Jersey City to go to the All Points West music festival. I can only think of a few things that could have made this day better. I got to drive for about 8 – 9 hours, and even though there was some slow traffic, it was still driving and I loved it. The sky was a beautiful blue color with huge white battleship, spaceship and attackship clouds in the sky the whole day. They were amazing and there were so many of them that I could only imagine the type of battle they were off to fight in. Later in the day the sun setting made a spectacle only the sun can. I got to see across the bay to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and be reminded of the historic past that we all are part of. There was a food vendor who was selling the most delicious corncake sandwich with mozzarella cheese in the middle. It was so sweet and appetizing for a perfect day. The temperature was mild and cool and I was never hot or cold but always just right with the most pleasant of breezes blowing the entire afternoon and into the evening. And if all of this were not enough to make it one of the most perfect days ever I got to dance with Thom York while Radiohead played Idioteque. Thom was on the stage but he was dancing and I was dancing and the whole crowd was dancing, minus the stupid people who came and didn’t do anything but stand there like zombies the whole time. For 2 hours I got to listen to Radiohead play their music and not only did they play Idioteque in their repertoire but also Fake Plastic Trees and Reckoner, my favorite three songs that they have. With all of this how could it not have been a perfect day? Please enjoy this little video I made of some of my experiences while at the Liberty State Park and just a note, the song in the video is called Let Down, not one of the three that I mentioned.

I like how there's no Radiohead in your video of the Radiohead concert.

I'm jealous. We even considered going to that concert a while back, because there were other good bands playing.

But alas, we are leaving in 4 days and will see Radiohead twice along the way. We will drive over 3,000 miles (over 30 hours) in 9 days.

I will report back to you afterwards (and probably at least once during).

I'm so sad I couldn't be there with you that I want to cry :(

Quite the artistic video.

The lip-lick then shot to the hand threaded throughout the entire video cracked me up.

I haven't really paid attention to the NYC skyline for awhile. Last time I was there was before 9/11. It is rather eerie to really see it in your video with the twin towers no where in sight. It snapped reality back into the forefront of my mind. Altering and somewhat sickening my heart.
